Trevoh Chalobah looks set to leave Chelsea this summer after missing the team’s pre-season tour of the United States.
Chelsea have released veteran defender Thiago Silva but Chalobah’s future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain as new manager. Enzo Maresca has a number of defensive options in Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi and new signing Tosin Adarabioyo, brought in from Fulham.
Last season, the 25-year-old suffered a thigh injury before returning to action in February, making 17 appearances in all competitions and scoring once.
He has been with the team for 17 years, since becoming a product of the club’s youth system, making a total of 80 appearances for the first team, Promotion ufabet but is now facing a move away from the club with Crystal Palace interested.
Chelsea have left Trevoh Chalobah and young defender Alfie Gilchrist out of their pre-season tour of the United States and are expected to leave the club together this summer.
For Chelsea, they have five warm-up matches in the United States, with Wrexham on Wednesday, July 24, followed by Celtic, Club America, Manchester City and Real Madrid. Before returning to Europe to face Inter Milan at Stamford Bridge on August 11.
A hamstring injury sidelined Chalobah for much of last season, but he forced his way into the starting XI in the final stretch of the 2023-24 campaign and impressed as Mauricio Pochettino’s team finished with five consecutive Premier League victories.
Chalobah is under contract at Chelsea until June 2028 after signing a long-term contract with the club in November 2022.
